Now that the rail project is facing a short fall of at least $1.5 billion, using Caldwell's own math, it means the mayor needs to increase real property tax rates by at least 50% to 65% ....

Ballots will be mailed in 5 days.  This election can be won with 50% + 1 vote....

...Yesterday, when asked to respond on EMS staffing shortages, the mayor again refused to respond....

...this race will soon get ugly....

Yesterday, KHON's Gina Mangieri covered a story detailing HART's request to borrow a minimum of $20 million more for rail, this time on the city's credit....

...as a councilmember, I fought to give the Ethics Commission the power to issue civil fines for violations of the ethics code and championed stronger ethics rules that have reduced conflicts of interest in Honolulu....

“We need a leader who will stand up for the people and protect hard-working families from the out-of control costs of the rail system."

Since the last election, Hawaii has lost over 90 years of seniority and now has the junior-most congressional delegation in the U.S....

The new VA Secretary needs to quickly understand the serious depth of the problems facing the VA in Hawaii....
