Lawsuit Exposes CWS Coverup AFTER Geanna Bradley Found Murdered

by Andrew Walden

Starved and tortured with duct tape, nine-year-old Geanna Bradley was found dead by responding EMS personnel January 18, 2024.  She was one of two adoptive children kept at the Wahiawa home of Thomas and Brandy Blas.

Now we are learning the story of the other child, identified only as “John ‘AB’ Doe.”

A lawsuit (1CCV-24-0000775) filed June 11, 2024, on his behalf by Steve Lane, appointed 'Guardian Prochain Ami' for AB by the Court, February 27, 2024, reveals allegations of Child Welfare Services (CWS) malfeasance even AFTER Geanna was found dead.

From the Complaint:

30. On and around January 18, 2024, when John “A.B.” Doe was just shy of five (5) years old, the City and County of Honolulu’s emergency medical service (“EMS”) department responded to a 911 call at the Blas home related to minor G.B. (Geanna Bradley) who was reported to be unconscious.

31. G.B. was found to be deceased by EMS paramedics.

32. Based upon information and belief, G.B. was found to be emaciated, bruised, scarred, and with multiple open wounds, all of which were injuries consistent with child abuse.

33. Based upon information and belief, on January 18, 2024, it was discovered that the four Blas biological children were in the home, as well as John “A.B.” Doe.

34. Based upon information and belief, first responders observed John “A.B.” Doe to be malnourished, unable to walk normally, under-developed according to his chronological age, and with multiple bruises, while the Blas’ biological children appeared to be well nourished, healthy, and developmentally congruent with their chronological ages.

The EMS responders reported the signs of abuse, but, unfortunately, CWS took control:

35. Based upon information and belief, CWS social workers did not seek immediate medical attention for John “A.B.” Doe on January 18, 2024, instead, on January 19, 2024, they placed him with Brandy Blas’ sister.

In other words: CWS handed a witness to the murder of Geanna Bradley over to the alleged murderers' family.  Let that sink in for a moment.

36. Based upon information and belief, John “A.B.” Doe was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital on January 22, 2024 for an upper respiratory infection (“URI”), and he tested positive for the influenza virus.

37. Based upon information and belief, Brandy Blas’ sister advised CWS on or around January 22, 2024 that she did not want John “A.B.” Doe in her home, and DHS CWS transferred him to the Ho’omalu o Na Kamali’i (“Ho’omalu”) temporary shelter.

Now watch what happens when AB is seen by ‘outside’ social workers.

38. Based upon information and belief, it was only when staff at Ho’omalu alerted CWS workers to multiple bruises on John “A.B.” Doe that CWS finally took him to KMCWC’s emergency department (“ED”) on January 23, 2024 for medical attention and an evaluation by Kapiolani Child Advocacy and Protection Center’s (“KCAP”) health care specialists.

Now watch what happens when AB is seen by another group of ‘outside’ social workers.

39. Based upon information and belief, a KCAP social worker performed a review of John “A.B.” Doe’s electronic medical record (“EMR”), and “noticed that there were no medical records or history of medical appointments or visits between 2019 and 2022; pt received several COVID-19 vaccinations in late 2022 and there was no further medical records or history in pt's chart since 2022.”

40. Based upon information and belief, a KCAP pediatrician noted that John “A.B.” Doe was “Very small for age, very, very thin” with “well healed scars, too numerous to count, on neck, arms, legs, back, hands and feet,” as well as multiple bruises of various ages.”

41. Based upon information and belief, John “A.B.” Doe was diagnosed with calorie deprivation (malnutrition) with several vitamin and mineral deficiencies, and “failure to thrive.”

42. Based upon information and belief, John “A.B.” Doe was diagnosed with a global developmental delay including severe receptive and expressive language delays.

43. Based upon information and belief, genetic testing ruled out a genetic cause for John “A.B.” Doe’s condition.

44. Based upon information and belief, John “A.B.” Doe was hospitalized at KMCWC for approximately three (3) weeks for calorie replacement, correction of metabolic derangements, and therapies.

45. Based upon information and belief, after he was discharged from KMCWC in 2024, John “A.B.” Doe was placed in foster custody with a medically trained foster parent who is attentive to his medical and psychosocial needs.

The lawsuit describes EMS, Ho’omalu, Kapiolani reporting the signs of abuse on AB -- ONLY the Wahiawa CWS workers kept silent.

How difficult is this to figure out?
