The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii released its newest "Hawaii Matters" video yesterday: "3 reasons why Hawaii's healthcare is in trouble."

The five-and-a-half-minute video was produced by David Patterson, a three-time Emmy Awards winner and newest member of the Grassroot Institute team.

In the video, Joe Kent, Institute executive vice president, outlines the three reasons: the state general excise tax, Hawaii's occupational licensure laws and the state's medical certificate-of-need laws.
