When Councilmember-elect Weyer and Dos Santos-Tam are sworn in on January 2, 2023 Hawai‘i will have more out elected LGBTQIA+ officials at one time than we ever had in the history of our state.

Representation matters and these elected officials will inspire other members of our diverse community to run and win. They will also help those that may be struggling with who they are and/or who they love and let them know they are fine the way they are born, and it truly does get better.

CONGRATULATIONS and Mahalo to everyone that made these elections possible!
