INTERNATIONAL UNION OF SECURITY AND PROTECTIVE OFFICERS “IUSPO” “INFORMATIONAL PICKETING AGAINST SECURITAS SECURITY SERVICESUSA, INC.”

News Release from IUSPO February 29, 2016

On Wednesday March 2, 2016, IUSPO will establish an informational picket line against Securitas at their offices at 888 North Nimitz Highway, Honolulu, Hawaii and at various other job sites around the State where Securitas has contract locations.

IUSPO has been the NLRB certified union representative of Securitas “law enforcement officers, traffic control and Airport security officers” since 2015. Securitas has only met with IUSPO two times and has intentionally stalled contract negotiations illegally.  Securitas has several unfair labor practice charges pending with the NLRB alleging interference with the employees protected rights to have a union, to discuss the union and charges that Securitas has discriminated against IUSPO supporters and organizer.

Securitas negotiated a new Airport Contract with the Hawaii Department of Transportation, Airport Division and included the wage increases as requested by IUSPO, which was approved and granted effective February 15, 2016 and is currently being paid to Securitas --- BUT NOT TO THE WOKERS ---Securitas is holding the money.

Securitas told the State they are a union company but they are not –BECAUSE THEY REFUSE TO BARGAIN FOR A CONTACT!!

THE MONEY BELONGS TO THE WORKERS NOT SECURITAS!!

THE INFORMATIONAL PICKETING IS TO LET THE PUBLIC KNOW HOW SECURITAS OPERATES AND MISTREATS ITS EMPLOYEES!

SECURITAS MUST NEGOTIATE AND SIGN A CONTRACT NOW!

UPDATE from IUSPO at 6:30PM March 1, 2016:  “ Securitas has agreed to meet this week and continue contract negotiations.  We will postpone our Informational Picket.”
