LISTEN: Grassroot Interview of Alex Teece and Lynn Finnegan, “Positive Choices in Education”

What happens when Grassroot President Keli’i Akina hosts a special edition of “Hawaii Tomorrow” to discuss education in our islands?

>>> Listen here as he interviews Alex Teece of Teach for America and Lynn Finnegan.

Alex Teece: As Director of the External Affairs team, Alex works closely with the Executive Director and the national Growth, Development and Partnerships team to shape our vision for our work with the many individuals and organizations that we partner with outside of the classroom.  He manages a team that oversees our community and district partnerships, communications, development, and alumni engagement and mobilization efforts.  Alex was a 2008 Hawai‘i corps member and taught 7th grade English at Ilima Intermediate in Ewa Beach, O‘ahu.  He graduated from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa with a Master of Education in Teaching degree in 2010, and obtained his Master of Business Administration from the Simon School of Business at the University of Rochester in 2012.

Former State Representative Lynn Finnegan is the Executive Director of the Hawaii Public Charter Schools Network.
