Epiphany leads to Mass Resignations: Abercrombie Administration Incompatible with Family Values

Its official: The Abercrombie administration is incompatible with family values.

Yesterday, administration officials announced the abrupt resignations of Abercrombie’s Chief of Staff Amy Asselbaye and Deputy Chief Andrew Aoki. Both had finally come to recognize the conflict between service to The Abercrombie and their Family Values. As a result of their epiphany:

Asselbaye and Aoki informed Governor Abercrombie earlier this week of their decision to resign in order to spend more time with their families and young children. Asselbaye has three children; Aoki has two young children.

The two join a pro-family exodus begun by Sunshine Topping who just last month cited family in her decision to abandon her post as Department of Human Resources and Development Director.

And that’s not all. Today Abercrombie’s Communications Director Josh Levinson also came around as well. Announcing Levinson’s resignation from the Administration, Press Secretary Donalyn DelaCruz was blunt:

“He wants to spend more time with his family.”

The news is all the more shocking because Levinson is the son of ex-Justice Stephen “Broken Trust” Levinson, the inventor of gay “marriage”. Sporting a newly-trimmed Mohawk, Rep Blake Oshiro remains in denial, telling reporters:

"I am shocked and I think all of them happening at the same time is a big shakeup and we'll have to see how they transition and are able to move forward. Perhaps it was a way for them to look at other peoples talents and where people can best be utilized and that may ultimately be the question but I'm not in there and I won't second guess."

Oshiro is not alone, today’s Star-Advertiser implies something else is afoot:

“The Abercrombie administration has struggled to cope with several communications related setbacks over the past several months.”

But one of the very few Abercrombie officials left on the Fifth Floor, Press Secretary Donalyn DelaCruz, had no trouble communicating as she pushed back against the Anti-Family conspiracy theorists:

"This is completely on their own terms and for people who think that may be boring and want to speculate and say they couldn't do this or they couldn't do that, shame on them for trying to make up stories."

Even the Governor is forced to bow to the power of the nuclear family. Fresh back from a 30th Wedding Anniversary trip to Paris, The Abercrombie wrote:

“Amy and Andrew and their families have sacrificed for years on behalf of the people of Hawaii and I respect their desires to want to reconnect with their families.”

He then announced his departure for Japan.
