Chang talks about his military service and expresses his personal gratitude for those that have served and are currently serving in the armed forces. 

Today, we at The Heritage Foundation are proud to honor Veterans Day by pausing to remember the men and women in uniform who serve this country. They are some of the finest this nation has to offer.

According to the Star-Bulletin November 22: “Makekau's acts of abuse against her sister's children included hitting their heads with knives and cans of dog food, their fingers with metal and wooden spoons and their mouths with a hammer.” Prosecutors described the conditions as a “house of torture.”

Mrs. Asing appealed all the way to the Hawaii Supreme court. Was the seed planted when Mrs. Asing’s claims were rejected in a “summary disposition” by the Hawaii State Supreme Court on Nov. 22, 2004? Mrs. Asing does not respond to an emailed request for comment, but nine months after the Supreme Court rejected her appeal, the Hawaiian Kingdom Government was born.

In the coming weeks 3/3 will take control of operations in Garmsir District, relieving fellow Hawaii-based 1st Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment. The “Lava Dogs” of 1/3 are nearing the end of their seven-month deployment, which began in April.

Governor Neil Abercrombie today announced Representative Blake Oshiro will be joining Abercrombie Administration as his Deputy Chief of Staff. Rep. Oshiro, who currently serves in the House of Representatives as its Majority Leader will be stepping down from his seat on December 7, 2011.
