"Eagles" send 3000 lbs Kona Coffee to US soldiers in Iraq, Afghanistan
By News Release @ 11:54 AM :: 2822 Views

Sir :
It is people like you that make all of this worth while.  The support structure that we have on the home front is essential to all soldiers well being.  I have heard about horror stories of soldiers that just get completely cut off from the world while they are over here, no care packages, no phone calls, no family and its volunteers such as yourself that really helps.  For people such as yourself and all the members of any group the contributes really does mean a lot to all soldiers you can trust me on that.

What your group is doing means a lot to all of the soldiers, because this war is run on food and coffee and I don't know if you have ever been in the military but army coffee is probably the worst coffee there is.
I just want to thank you again and I do look forward to hearing from you again.

3000 lbs--help needed

We have now sent well over 3000 lbs of Kona coffee to our Hawaii based U.S Troops
in both Iraq and Afghanistan , since Feb. of 2008.

I have quite a bit of coffee promised and coming in but my funds are insufficient to send very much .
$200 available at the moment . This will send 95 lbs

I need to be able to send several hundred pounds in the next round alone.
Here's the math : Each box contains 5 lbs of Kona coffee and costs $10.35 by USPS Flat Rate
I am looking at approx 40 - 50 boxes of coffee in the next round to send .

  • I need to send to the  4th Cavalry - 25th ID in Iraq
  • I need to send to 5 different U.S. Air Force FAC dispersed in small units across IRQ
  • I need to send to  a USAFR aerial port team out of Hickam AFB
that handles most of the supplies coming into northern Iraq
  • I need to send to our 2 U.S. Army Chaplains near Tikrit IRQ
  • I need to send MORE to our Hawaii based MARINES in Afghanistan .
They are the ones in the hottest combat right now and can use all they can get.
  • Then there's this little team of U.S. Navy medics ,  attached to the USMC ,
that I am sure could use a little more by now .....

So that's the story.  If you want to help and can help , here's your chance .
