Aloha! Quality public education is a key component to the societal and economic health and success of our island State. That is why the Hawaii Public Charter Schools Network (HPCSN) would like you to join us in our efforts to improve and support public education.
The charter school movement in Hawaii is growing, with 34 schools and approaching 10,000 students. Impressive results in student achievement prove that innovation, along with increased autonomy and accountability in education, can work.
Charter schools operate more like businesses and this flexibility allows for new and innovative solutions to deliver quality education to Hawaii’s students. More autonomy is afforded to charter schools. In turn, more accountability is expected of their principals, teachers, parents and community to deliver academic achievement.
In the spirit of this year’s theme, we will be recognizing those who have made charter schools possible in Hawaii and will also be honoring charter schools that are delivering on the promise of quality education.
By supporting our fundraising dinner, you will help HPCSN continue its work of delivering solution-focused advocacy and a suite of quality support options to improve academic outcomes for Hawaii’s students, thereby building a stronger state and a more qualified workforce for tomorrow. Mahalo nui loa for your kind consideration.
