HOUSE TO VOTE ON EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTIVES
Message from Hawaii Family Forum
We know that over the past several years, several controversial issues have caused you to become weary in fighting the good fight. Many pastors and people of faith, however, have risen to the challenge in spite of the odds against us. You are one of them and we applaud your ongoing courage and commitment to stand for LIFE, FAMILY and RELIGIOUS FREEDOM in Hawaii.
We need your help today! Click here to send a message directly through VoterVoice.
HB 411 (the bill relating to emergency contraceptives) will be voted on by the full House tomorrow (March 5, 2013) and our sources at the capital tell us that the they have the votes to pass this bill very easily. Your call today could help protect religious freedom in Hawaii.
ACTION: It is crucial that you get people from your own networks to contact their house members today and respectfully request a religious exemption for INSTITUTIONS and INDIVIDUALS.
The reason it is so important for you to get involved is because many people believe that life begins at conception (especially Christians). If these individuals work in an emergency room, this bill will force them to administer the pill even though their religious beliefs are against its administration. FDA labeling on the product itself makes it clear that it can cause an abortion.
The hearing was full of people who are against religious freedom. One individual even stated that if Christians have a problem with it, they shouldn’t work in an emergency room. In other words, if you are a person of faith, you need not apply!

We know there are legislators who want to do the right thing on this bill, but they need our support to stand firm – and with odds stacked up against them, they need our help.
Mahalo for your time!
