Democrats Pretend to Open Selection Process

Protocol for Selection of Midterm Vacancies

The Chair is designating the State Executive Committee as the Coordinating Committee for the purpose of “receipt of applications.” This provides several locations for applications to be turned in, not only in Honolulu at Democratic Party Headquarters, but also other places throughout the state. Applications need to be received by 5:00 pm Monday, December 24, 2012.

Applicants must fill out a “Statement of Candidacy” form (available HERE) and submit a biography not to exceed one page. Applicants may only submit their own name in order to be considered. Recommendations from third parties will not be considered as formal applications. Applications may be submitted to any of the following:

All applications will be date and time stamped and a confirmation receipt will be sent to the applicant.

Coordinating committee will vet applicants for “good standing” qualification and prepare list of applicant packets and transmit to SCC. The process by which the SCC will choose the names for submittal to the Governor is outlined HERE.
