Six More Schools Attain Adequate Yearly Progress

Six schools with successful appeals met Adequate Yearly Progress, raising the final total to 139 out of 286, or 49%.
Since the preliminary AYP results were announced on July 17, the following schools' AYP status has changed from "not met" to "met:" Kalani High, Pahoa High & Intermediate, Mokapu Elementary, Sunset Beach Elementary, Waters of Life Public Charter School, and West Hawaii Explorations Academy
The final No Child Left Behind status for School Year 2012-13 finds 140 schools in "Good Standing" (49%), 33 in "School Improvement" (12%), 19 in "Corrective Action" (7%), 11 in "Planning for Restructuring" (4%), and 83 in "Restructuring" (29%). Total percentages may not be exactly 100% due to rounding.
