FINAL ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STATEMENT FOR KIHEI HIGH SCHOOL RELEASED

HONOLULU – The Department of Education will release the Final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) for the new Kihei High School on September 8, 2012.

The Final EIS for Kihei High School is available for public review in libraries and online at: LINK.

Representative George Fontaine stated:

"This is very encouraging news for the citizens of South Maui who have been requesting a high school in Kihei. There is a growing need for a high school with planned developments expected in the area. This is an important step in the process and is great news that the high school project is moving forward and making progress. I am very pleased to report that the Department of Education has been working very hard on this project and that they have now completed and submitted the Final Environment Impact Statement for review."
