$16T Debt Enabled by Hirono
By Gov. Linda Lingle @ 11:38 PM :: 7731 Views :: Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics

From Lingle2012.com

On Tuesday, the United States set a record. National debt officially surpassed $16 trillion.

This is NOT something to be proud of, and we can blame those in power in Washington today for it. Over the past 3 years alone, they’ve added $5 TRILLION to our debt. That’s 12 zeroes after the 5!

Unfortunately for Hawaii, Mazie Hirono has enabled this spending binge. She may be notorious for skipping votes—127 and counting so far this year—but she knows how to vote “aye” along party lines when it comes to more spending.

Hawaii can’t afford to send a hyper-partisan, rubber stamp like Hirono, to the U.S. Senate. We need to elect someone who’ll work across party lines to implement commonsense solutions to our nation’s problems. That’s why I’m in this race—and why polls show me ahead of Hirono by 6 points. But with Election Day just around the corner, I need to know that you’ll continue to stand with me.

Will you follow this link to donate $5, $10, $25 or any amount to my campaign?

Right now America faces a harsh reality—start reducing our national debt or face another severe recession. I helped lead Hawaii through the worst financial crisis in our state’s history and balanced the budget without raising your taxes. You have my word that I’ll bring the same approach to Washington to stop the spending and put America’s fiscal house in order.

But first, I need your help to win this election. That’s why I’m asking you to donate $5, $10, $25 or any amount to my campaign today.

Mahalo nui loa for your support.

Sincerely,
Linda Lingle

P.S. You can thank Mazie Hirono for America’s $16 trillion debt. But I encourage you to think twice before you send her to the U.S. Senate! Hawaii has a choice: more of the same or much-needed bipartisan, commonsense solutions. If you want solutions, please stand with me by donating $5, $10, $25 or any amount to my campaign.

Sincerely,

Linda Lingle
