On to the General Election!
From www.Djou.com
Last night we won our three-way primary with 96% of the vote. Mahalo to each and every one of you for all of your hard work and support. It means a great deal to me and to my family to have you in our corner.
Now comes the hard work. If we are going to change the direction of our State and Nation, we need to work together. The attacks are going to start coming quickly. Last night, on Hawaii News Now, even before the first print out, our opponent immediately turned to name calling and finger pointing to define us. But that is exactly what is wrong with politics today. There are too many politicians who just want to point out problems and too few who want to find solutions.
Our government isn't caring enough for the next generation. We need to work together to reduce our debt and control our spending. Education and social security are precious, but we will not be able to provide for them if we continue with the reckless fiscal spending engaged in by Congress. We certainly will never make a better future for our children with the name calling and petty politics demonstrated by our opposition.
My family and I look forward to working hard over the next three months to earn your trust. Our government is failing our children, but we can change that with your help.
Aloha,
