Yesterday was the filing deadline for candidates who are running in the 2012 elections.

Today, we are proud to announce that we have 66 candidates running in 79 partisan races this year, including US Senate and Congress. Of those 66 candidates, 56 of them are running for state legislature. There are 40 Republican candidates running for State House and 16 candidates running for State Senate. We have a team of candidates who span all ages, ethnicities and backgrounds. We are proud that they have stepped forward and made a commitment to bring the character and values of Hawaii and the HRP to the legislature.
