CB: Romney Urges Turnout for Hawaii Caucus
In a 30-minute conference call with Hawaii residents, GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney took questions and asked supporters to vote in Tuesday’s caucus.
Romney, who was calling from Florida, greeted callers with an “aloha” and pointed out that he and wife Ann honeymooned in the islands and often vacation here. His main message: “I’ve run things, Obama hasn’t.”
Romney’s son, Matt, is on his way to the islands to help campaign for his father.
WaPo: Ron Paul’s son, Ronnie, to campaign for dad in Hawaii
Rep. Ron Paul’s middle son, Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), has been an active campaigner for his father in the Republican presidential race.
Now, the Texas congressman’s eldest son, Ronnie, is hitting the trail as well. In Hawaii.
The eldest Paul son is a retired engineer, according to the New York Times, which profiled the Paul family in June 2010.
He’s expected to campaign for Paul, the libertarian-leaning congressman and GOP presidential contender, for five days in the run-up to the Aloha State’s March 13 caucuses.
The Hawaii swing appears to be the first time that Ronnie Paul will have stumped for his dad. He’ll be joined on the trail by John Tate, Ron Paul’s campaign manager.
