Dear Life Advocate:
Our friends on the beautiful Garden Island of Kauai are asking for your immediate help. Planned Parenthood Hawaii has returned to the Garden Isle to peddle its services and now plans to offer abortion "services" at a clinic located inside the Mahelona Memorial Hospital in Kapa'a. Funding for the clinic would be provided by the University of Hawaii.
The Board of Directors for Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, which operates the hospital, has scheduled a meeting on Tuesday, February 21 at 6:00pm to discuss the clinic.
Previously, Planned Parenthood of Hawaii performed abortions in Kapa'a, (which was one of 287 surgical PPH clinics in the country) but in 2009 had to cease operations. Over the past few years, Kaua'i has remained free of the plague of surgical abortion, but that could quickly change.
We are calling on you, Hawaii's human life advocates, to act immediately by voicing your strong opposition to this imminent threat to unborn children, their mothers, and all of Kaua'i. Here's how you can help:
1. Pray – that community leaders and hospital administrators would not permit abortions in any medical facility on Kauai.
2. Submit testimony – Email your testimony to us at office@alohalifeadvocates.org asking that abortions be banned from Mahelona Memorial Hospital and all other healthcare facilities on Kaua'i. Click here for a link to fast facts about abortion in Hawaii.
3. Sign the petition here
4. Forward this message to your pro-life friends, family, and colleagues, especially those on Kaua'i who would be willing to attend the meeting on February 21.
5. Support Aloha Life Advocates with an immediate gift as we work to prevent surgical abortion from returning to Kaua'i.
Thank you for your unwavering support as we stand strong with our neighbors in our defense to protect the most vulnerable members of our human 'ohana.
Your quick action will save lives and create a culture in Hawaii Nei that respects the dignity and worth of all people, both born and unborn!
For all our lives,
