From Maui TEA Party
2012 is now upon us and we hope the New Year is already finding you Happy, Healthy, Prosperous and Wise.
Our first General Meeting of the New Year will convene this Thursday, January 12th, at 6:00 PM at our TPM HQ at 400 Hana Hwy, Unit K, in Kahului click here for map.
Congratulations to our newly elected and installed Board members: Bill Doyle, President; Tim Means, VP; Larry Quimby, Treasurer; Patti Domingo, Secretary and Members-at-Large: Peggy Geddis, John Kerr and Val Sisneros. We have a great new team to help lead us through what will be a very ambitious, active and fun-filled election cycle and we welcome your ideas, suggestions and energies to help us fulfill our goals.
Please join us as we welcome our new Board and also say "Thank You" to outgoing Board Members Shereen Seibert and Rosemary Aldridge. They have worked tirelessly and provided such valuable contributions to our group, that they will be seriously missed. We know that they'll continue to be involved and can always count on their continued participation. Thank You, Ladies--you've been great!
We will also be fortunate to have a great guest speaker, Heather Pfitzenmaier, the Director of the Young Leaders Program of the Heritage Foundation. You can read Heather's bio by clicking here. She will address our meeting on involving diverse demographics in our movement as well as discussing the other TEA Party groups with whom she has interacted during her travels. A Q&A will follow.
The next installment of our very popular Constitution Classes, "The Making of America" will begin approx. ten minutes after the conclusion of the General Meeting. We hope you'll plan to attend and come with a friend. We are always surprised by just how much we learn and how much we enjoy each other's company.
Bring your fresh thinking and consider volunteering in any way you believe will benefit our group and help advance our core principles. It's your organization--let us help you help all of us reach our full potential. Looking forward to seeing you all on Thursday, Happy New Year,
Bill Doyle, President
