SBH 36th Annual Conference on January 11, 2012

Hawaii’s first major business and investment conference of the New Year is coming January 11!

News release from Smart Business Hawaii

The 36th Annual SBH Business & Investment Conference will be held January 11, 2012, from 8am to 2pm at the Ala Moana Hotel, Garden Lanai and Hibiscus Ballroom. You will not want to miss this event.

The theme of the conference is: “Small Business 2012—Climate Change for Hawaii Business?”

John Fund of The Wall Street Journal will keynote the luncheon program at noon and share his insight on the importance of this year’s elections on business. Mark Dunkerley, CEO of Hawaiian Airlines will discuss business opportunities and challenges in Hawaii. Hawaii Supreme Court Justice Mark E. Recktenwald will discuss coming judicial reforms in Hawaii and computer guru, Peter Kay will provide you with secrets of social media for your business.

But there’s more! The American Legislative Exchange Council’s (ALEC) Jonathan Williams will rank Hawaii among, “Rich States, Poor States,” and Dr. Wendell Cox of Demographia, examines Hawaii’s transportation and infrastructure projects by priority and the ability to pay.

Business success tips will be featured on a panel with Marissa Capelouto (Oahu Express), Tyler Roukema (Outback Steak House) and Matt Longfellow (Valpak of Hawaii).
