In case you missed it, the campaign got some great media coverage on Sunday. Governor Lingle helped us with a successful fundraiser and Stacey shared an update on what Charles is doing in Afghanistan. Click here to view the clip.
Last October, Charles and the campaign team had the honor of working with the Honolulu Jaycees for Adopt A School Day 2010, a statewide grassroots effort aimed at bettering our schools and communities. Charles, his family and a dedicated group of volunteers spent the morning at Mililani Waena Elementary School, cleaning and painting the campus.
Djou For Hawaii is proud to announce that we will once again partner up with the Honolulu Jaycees for AASD 2011, and this year Charles has adopted Palisades Elementary in Pearl City [map]. The event will be held this Sunday, October 9, from 8am to noon, and we're looking for volunteers to come out and help a great cause.
If you're interested in getting involved or would like more information, please contact our volunteer coordinator, Jon Kunimura, at jkunimura@gmail.com. If you'd like more information on AASD, check out the event's official website. We look forward to seeing you on Sunday.
