LĪHU‘E, HI – Today marks 16 years since Amber Jackson was brutally murdered on Kaua’i. As this painful milestone arrives, Amber’s family, friends, and law enforcement are issuing an urgent appeal to the community: we need your information to finally bring closure to this 16-year investigation.

To ensure justice for Amber, the Amber Jackson Justice Group (AJJG) and Law enforcement pleads with the public to please come forward with any information about Glaser’s whereabouts, network, or timeline, past or present. No detail is too small or insignificant.

For 16 years, our community has carried the weight of this unsolved tragedy.

Following a dedicated, multi-year investigation into the 2010 homicide, the Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) secured an arrest warrant on December 23, 2025, for 57-year-old Gregory Glaser on the charge of Murder in the Second Degree, with bail set at $1,000,000. Glaser has been missing for over a year, having officially gone missing from the Hawaiian Acres subdivision on Hawaiʻi Island on April 12, 2025—months before the Second-Degree Murder warrant was handed down.

KPD Issues Arrest Warrant in Amber Jackson Homicide Case

LĪHU‘E – The Kaua‘i Police Department (KPD) today announced that an arrest warrant has been issued for Gregory Glaser, 57, in connection with the 2010 homicide of Amber Jackson. This follows new developments in a case that has remained under investigation for over 15 years.

Amber Jackson, a 57-year-old resident of Kapa‘a, was reported missing on June 23, 2010. Her body was discovered on July 3, 2010, in a remote forested area of Keālia. An autopsy revealed she died from blunt-force trauma to the head.

Glaser was initially identified as a person of interest. Following the discovery of Jackson’s body, he left Kaua‘i and relocated off-island. At the time, the investigation did not yield sufficient evidence to connect anyone to the crime, but detectives continued to pursue all leads diligently. Over the years, successive generations of KPD detectives built on prior investigative efforts, re-interviewing witnesses, reviewing evidence, coordinating with other law enforcement agencies, and traveling both interisland and out of state to follow up on leads. These ongoing efforts eventually uncovered new information, culminating in an arrest warrant for Glaser for Murder in the Second Degree, with bail set at $1,000,000.

Law enforcement is actively working to locate Glaser. He was last seen on Hawai‘i Island and is described as a Caucasian male, approximately 5-feet-8 inches tall, weighing 160 pounds, with brownish-gray long hair, brown eyes, with a dot tattoo on his abdomen.

Hawai‘i Island police are seeking the public’s assistance in locating 56-year-old Gregory Glaser of Mountain View, who was reported missing.

Glaser was last seen in the Hawaiian Acres subdivision on April 12, 2025. He is described as Caucasian, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 pounds, with brownish-gray long hair and brown eyes. He has a “dot” style tattoo below the belly button.
