Maui Mayor Bissen is asking the Maui County Police Commission to suspend Maui County Police Chief John Pelletier because he is named as a defendant in a crackpot California lawsuit by an alleged rape victim who claims Sean Combs and several other famous people showed up at a basement apartment in Orinda, CA to gang rape her in 2018.
Apparently it doesn’t take much for the Mayor of Maui to turn against his County Police Chief.
Case #: 3:24-cv-07191-RFL Parham v. Combs et al (Use CTRL-F and search "Pelletier". See if you can follow the meth-induced bs story written up as a lawsuit. Ask yourself: Is typing up this story and filing it in an existing federal case all it takes to toss out a Chief of Police in Maui County?)
Here is the run-down on the lawsuit from USA Today:
Diddy lawsuit: Druski, OBJ deny 'gang rape' lawsuit claims
USA Today March 10, 2025: … Diddy lawsuit: Druski, OBJ deny 'gang rape' lawsuit claims -- “Parham claimed to have virtually met Combs in February 2018 when she met a man – now identified as Shane Pearce – at a bar who (allegedly) started a(n) (alleged) FaceTime call (allegedly) with the Bad Boy Records founder. She goes on to allege that after she claimed in the call that Combs had a hand in rapper Tupac Shakur's 1996 killing, Pearce "set her up" to be assaulted by Combs the following month. The alleged assault took place in the Pearce apartment in Orinda, California — a city outside of Oakland — on March 23, 2018, she said.”…
Druski, 30, called the claim false. "This allegation is a fabricated lie," he wrote on X Sunday. "I wasn't a public figure in 2018 — I was broke living with my mom without any connections to the entertainment industry at the time of this allegation, so the inclusion of my name is truly outlandish."…
"This new complaint – brought by an attorney who has already been sued for defaming Mr. Combs – demonstrates the depraved lengths plaintiffs will travel to garner headlines in pursuit of a payday," said Combs' team, who is suing one of the lawyers who filed Parham's lawsuit, in a statement to USA TODAY Monday. "Mr. Combs was nowhere near Orinda, California on the day Ms. Parham claims she was assaulted there."…
In a statement, the sheriff's office said: "A report was taken on March 23, 2018. We take these cases seriously, and detectives thoroughly investigated the accusations. It was later determined the claims were unfounded."
she says she gave a report but did not name Combs. She says she filed a report to the Orinda Police Department the following month, again not naming Combs….Last July, Parham says she called the Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office to amend her complaint amid mounting lawsuits against the embattled media mogul…

SHOPO Sees Worthless Lawsuit as Way to get Rid of Outsider Chief
Star-Adv March 12, 2025: The union representing Maui’s police officers, the State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers, weighed in Tuesday on the mayor’s request regarding Pelletier.
Nick Krau, SHOPO Maui Chapter chair, in a statement to the Star-Advertiser, noted that when an officer “is accused of serious misconduct, just like any private citizen, they have a right to due process, which includes a thorough and objective investigation into the allegations.”
“It is critical that the Maui Police Department’s top officer be treated the same way any patrol officer under his command is treated. This is critical in fostering public trust in law enforcement through transparency and accountability,” said Krau. “I believe the intentions behind Mayor Bissen’s measured request to swiftly address the allegations that have attracted national attention are firmly grounded in his desire to do what’s best for the Maui Police Department and the people of Maui.”

Maui Mayor Richard Bissen sent the following letter to the police department:
“On March 7, 2025, an amended complaint was filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California in the case of Ashley Parham v. Sean Combs (Case No. :24-cv-07191-RFL). This amended complaint includes multiple new defendants, one of whom is Maui Police Chief John Pelletier. The original complaint, filed on October 15, 2024, did not name Chief Pelletier.
While the allegations in the amended complaint remain unproven, they are serious in nature and involve claims of alleged criminal conduct. As with any such legal matter, due process must be observed, but the existence of these allegations alone presents concerns regarding public trust and the effective functioning of the department.
There is precedent within County of Maui government for placing appointed officials on leave while allegations against them are investigated. This approach does not constitute a presumption of guilt but ensures that the individual in question is not in a position that may compromise the integrity of the office while the matter is under review. The County of Maui Charter requires appointed officers to uphold the highest ethical standards to maintain public confidence in local government.
Given the gravity of the allegations, (IQ TEST: Are you laughing?) I recommend that the Maui Police Commission place Chief Pelletier on administrative leave pending further investigation. Additionally, I urge the Commission to conduct its own independent review rather than waiting for the resolution of the federal case. Taking proactive steps will demonstrate the County's commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.
Thank you for your time and consideration.”

MPD spokesperson Alana Pico provided the following statement:
"Chief Pelletier has no connections whatsoever to any individuals named in the lawsuit. The allegations suggesting his involvement are entirely unfounded. We are confident that the evidence will demonstrate these claims to be false and will expose those who are deliberately trying to manipulate the legal system to spread misleading narratives.
In 2018, while serving as a Captain in Las Vegas, Chief Pelletier was honored by the Rape Crisis Center for his exceptional leadership and commitment to community safety, specifically through his role as a champion of the Stay S.A.F.E. program dedicated to sexual assault prevention.
These baseless allegations not only harm Chief Pelletier but also show a lack of respect for victims of abuse, whose voices deserve to be heard and supported with compassion and integrity."…
