From Israel Day Hawaii
Israel Day Hawaii is a Federally recognized 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization located in beautiful Honolulu, Hawaii. Our mission, as an educational and cultural awareness group, is to create a broader understanding of the daily lives, plights, and celebrations of the people of the Holy Land - Israel.
We do this by producing the annual Israel Day Hawaii Festival in downtown Honolulu. This spring, on Sunday, May 29, 2011, we will again create a festive environment to commemorate Yom Ha’atzmaut – Israel's Independence Day.
This free family event happens on the spacious grounds fronting the Frank F. Fasi Municipal Building, known as Skygate Park - the same familiar area used by "Flavors of Honolulu."
You'll find the Festival at the intersection of South King Street, Kapiolani Boulevard and Alapai Street. See MAP for directions.
Free covered parking is available in the underground lot to the left of Alapai Street. Use the Beretania Entrance.
This year's festival promises to be the most exciting Yom Ha'atzmaut EVER.…
