New website on federal policy updates
from University of Hawaiʻi System News, Feb 24, 2025
The University of Hawaiʻi launched a New Federal Policy Information and Resources webpage on February 24, a dedicated online hub providing up-to-date information and resources related to the recent Executive Orders (EOs) and directives issued by the new federal administration.
Since taking office on January 20, the new federal leadership has released a series of EOs and directives that could significantly impact the 10-campus system. The new webpage is designed to serve as a one-stop resource for the latest news, guidance and frequently asked questions. UH President Wendy Hensel first announced the website during her monthly report to the UH Board of Regents on February 20.
“As we walk through this moment of change, it is critically important to say clearly that UH remains steadfast in its mission and core values,” said Hensel. “No shift in federal policy can alter who we are or our commitment to ensuring that every individual on our campuses is a valued and welcome member of this community.”
It will be continuously updated as new details emerge and additional resources are developed. While some of the listed resources are still in the process of being finalized, they will be made available as soon as possible to ensure comprehensive support for the UH community.
