The Honolulu City Council is considering Bill 46, which would create a tax on all so-called empty homes.

You might be asking, "What constitutes an empty home?" That's a good question, and it still hasn't been fully answered!

The Honolulu City Council is paying a consulting firm $500,000 to help uncover some of the answers. However, that study has yet to be completed.

That’s why we need you to contact your representatives at Honolulu Hale. Let them know this proposal feels rushed, and that there are still too many unanswered questions.
