Hmmmm.  Which Senator to buy?  So many candidates, so little time….

Political Radar: Another cut

The poll, conducted by SMS for developer Jeff Stone, was taken among 700 voters statewide between March 18 and April 3. The margin of error was 3.7 percentage points.

  • Former congressman Ed Case: 22%
  • Former Honolulu Mayor Mufi Hannemann: 17%
  • U.S. Rep. Mazie Hirono: 13%
  • U.S. Rep. Colleen Hanabusa: 10%
  • Lt. Gov. Brian Schatz: 5%
  • Former Gov. John Waihee: 4%
  • State Senate Vice President Donna Mercado Kim: 3%

HNN: Poll finds favorable, unfavorable politicians

According to the numbers, the politician who had the highest favorable rating was Representative Mazie Hirono with 62%. She had solid favorable numbers and pretty low unfavorable numbers.

Then it was Hannemann at 54%, Abercrombie and Hanabusa at 52% and Ed Case at 51%.

At the other end, the unfavorable were former Governor Linda Lingle. She faired the worst in the category with 44% finding her unfavorable. Then it was Hannemann with 35% of those polled; 33% for Abercrombie; and just 25% for Case.

And who did the worst? There were two – Lieutenant Governor Brian Schatz with 37% of the favorable vote. 49% said they had never heard of him.

State Senator Donna Mercado Kim only got 29% of the favorable vote, but over half – 59% -- did not know of her or had never heard of her.

The margin of error of the poll was 3.7%.
