Father: DHS and Catholic Charities both involved in Geanna Bradley Placement in Torture House
by Andrew Walden
Child Welfare Services and Catholic Charities are both involved in the placement of Geanna Bradley into the home where she was allegedly tortured and murdered by three adults, including convicted felon Thomas Blas.
That’s the word from Geanna’s biological father, convicted auto thief Gerime Bradley, a 10-time loser.
KITV News February 9, 2024 reports:
Geanna's father, Gerime Bradley, described his last moments with her from 2016. He had a supervised visitation with a case manager from Catholic Charities to see Geanna....
"I never had contact with the foster parents," said Gerime. He was unable to have any form of contact with Geanna over the years....
"Only thing I'm focused on now is getting justice for what she went through, and what she died for and remember her," Gerime expressed as he described the system as "broken" for allowing this abuse to happen.
When it comes to Geanna's birth mother, Gerime mentioned he has been in contact with her but hasn't talked to her about the loss of their daughter and that she's been dealing with her daughter's death "differently."
He was unable to share how he found out about the news of Geanna's death. He was shocked to know the details of her death through news outlets.
Germine Bradley’s FaceBook page February 9, 2024:
Please support me tonight at Kapiolani park by the band stand for a candle light Virgil for my baby who died in result of neglect by cps , who failed to protect my baby. How can they call themselves child protective service….
Gerime Bradley may be the father of Former Castle and McKinley HS football player Gerime Bradley. Most notably, the younger Bradley beat a manslaughter rap and ended up with time served and probation after a deadly fight with an Ewa Beach man March 23, 2014.
Convicted prostitute Amy Hart, a 16-time loser, identifying herself as the 'biological mother' of Geanna Bradley also is looking for money. This is her statement with the donation link removed:
My name is Amy Hart, biological mother of Geanna Marie Bradley. She was taken from us by 3 individuals who never loved or valued her as a person or even a child of God. I've tried multiple times to bring her home. But I was refused multiple time over and over.. She was once full of life and joy. And to see her now hurts my heart. However the state is now willing to return her to me and her family.. We honestly don't have the means to lay her to rest properly and I'm reaching out to all for help in doing so. This wasn't what I wanted for my baby to bring her home this way. But now I know in my heart that she's finally at peace, safe and free, looking over all those who loved her. She faught a battle that none of us would have endured so she has finally eaened her wings and now become the angel she always was. Please help me put Geanna Marie Bradley to rest properly. She deserves a proper memorial to honor the sweet angel she was.. (link redacted) .. Thank You for helping and please keep us all in your prayers!..
I am unable to give an exact date of Service while the trail is still in motion. So please understand I can't give out any information that may hinder the ongoing legal events surrounding her case.
How do Bradley’s revelations contrast with the Department of Human Services media comments since the arrests?
KHON2 asked the Department of Human Services if there have been any checks to the Blas home. In a statement DHS said:
“Pursuant to Hawaii Revised Statutes §350-1.4, CWS is statutorily prohibited from confirming or denying any reports of a case or child in the child welfare system, subject to some limited exceptions. Hawaii Administrative Rules §17-1601-6(16)(D) is an exception which permits CWS to report regarding the death of a child that has been confirmed by the Medical Examiner to be a result of abuse or neglect. As reported by HPD, the Medical Examiner has recently determined that the death of a 10 year-old female child was a homicide resulting from child abuse or neglect. CWS can confirm that the recent report of abuse or neglect in this home is the first of its kind received as to these caregivers. Additionally, CWS has not had any reports of abuse or neglect, or involvement in any investigation regarding this child, since this child was placed with this family under legal guardianship until the January 18, 2024, response to the home by HPD.“
The Star Advertiser Feb 10, 2024 reports:
In response to Honolulu Star-Advertiser questions about how often caseworkers interacted with Bradley’s family prior to her death, the state Department of Human Services’ Child Welfare Services said in a statement that it is “statutorily prohibited from confirming or denying any reports of a case or child in the child welfare system, subject to some limited exceptions.”
“As such, CWS is only able to provide the following information. CWS can confirm that the recent report of abuse or neglect in this home is the first of its kind received as to these caregivers. Additionally, CWS has not had any reports of abuse or neglect, or involvement in any investigation regarding this child, since this child was placed with this family under legal guardianship until the January 18, 2024, response to the home by HPD,” wrote Amanda Stevens, a DHS spokesperson. “We mourn the loss of this child with the community. As always, CWS asks everyone to take part in reporting what you hear, what you see, even what you sense, if you suspect abuse or neglect.”
Catholic Charities did not respond to a request for comment from Hawai’i Free Press.
