“Standing with Israel in These Trying Times"

It is with sadness and concern that I reach out to you today, reflecting upon the recent and distressing events in Israel and Gaza. The devastating loss of life, with over 300 souls lost and thousands injured in both regions, is a sad testament to the fragile nature of peace in this tumultuous region. It reminds us all of the profound human cost of conflict.

Today, as our National Committee Representatives and leaders of the National Republican Party met with the leaders of AIPAC, our shared commitment to peace, security, and the future of Israel remains undiminished, even as we mourn the innocent lives lost.

The unrelenting rocket attacks by Hamas militants are not just an assault on the nation of Israel, but also an affront to the values of peace, liberty, and the sanctity of human life. We unequivocally condemn these acts of aggression and stand firm in our support for Israel's right to defend itself and its citizens.

To every member of our Hawaii Republican community, I urge you to reach out to your Republican delegations, urging them to issue heartfelt statements of support for Israel, while also expressing sorrow for the lives lost. Our voices must unite not just in defense of our allies but also in our shared hope for a future free of such conflict.

In the spirit of Aloha, and with a heavy heart, let us extend our sincere condolences to all families affected by this conflict here in Hawaii, in Israel and Gaza. Let our prayers be for an enduring peace, security, and a brighter, more compassionate future for all people of the region and our world.

Israel's strength lies in its resolve to secure the well-being of its citizens, and our strength as the Republican Party lies in our shared convictions and unity. As we stand beside Israel, we also grieve for every life lost, with hopes of a day when peace prevails.

Mahalo nui loa for your strength during our own times of challenges we face from the devastation on Maui. Together, with compassion and unity, we can and will work towards a better tomorrow.

Statement Condemning the Attack Against Israel

Honolulu, Hawaii - Hawaii Young Republicans unequivocally condemns the barbaric attack international terrorist group Hamas is conducting against the sovereignty of Israel. Reports of the deliberate targeting of innocent civilians for massacres and kidnapping are horrifying, completely violating the rules and norms of armed conflict. The targeted nature of these attacks raises emergency concerns of attempted genocide and ethnic cleansing against the Jewish people in Israel. Hawaii Young Republicans stands firmly with Israel and her people in their national right of self-defense against this genocidal attack.

We call upon our President and Congress to come together to condemn this attack, support Israel in her right of national self-defense, and eliminate strongholds where terrorist groups can organize and grow.
