Children's book author, liberty advocate to give talk on Oahu about freedom

from Grassroot Institute

Learn how Hawaii can ensure a brighter economic future, especially through educating the next generation about the importance of freedom, during an Oahu luncheon presentation on Tuesday, Sept. 19 featuring Connor Boyack.

Boyack is founder and president of the Libertas Institute in Utah and the creative force behind the “Tuttle Twins” books and cartoon series, which introduce toddlers and young readers to the ideas of a free society.

His presentation will highlight policies that his innovative think tank, the Libertas Institute, has advocated in Utah — concerning issues such as housing, permitting, licensure and digital currency — and how they might work in Hawaii.

Boyack's talk will be at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii in Moiliili. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with the formal presentation taking place from noon to 1 p.m. There will be time for audience members to ask questions. Admission is $30, including parking, lunch and a copy of one of Boyack’s “Tuttle Twins” books.

Keliʻi Akina, president and CEO of the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii, will moderate.
