Hawaii's economic future depends on what our children learn today

Political leader and best-selling author Connor Boyack will explain why the next generation is critical to ensuring justice and prosperity

HONOLULU, Aug. 31, 2023 >> The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii has invited one of Utah’s most politically influential people to give a luncheon presentation on Oahu in September about how Hawaii can benefit from teaching the ideals of free minds and free markets to younger generations.

Connor Boyack, president of the Libertas Institute in Utah and author of the best-selling “Tuttle Twins" book series, will speak Tuesday, Sept. 19, at the Japanese Cultural Center of Hawaii in Moiliili, on the topic: “Preparing the next generation to boost Hawaii's economy.”

Everyone attending will receive a copy of one of Boyack’s books, which according to Boyack are intended to help children develop critical-thinking skills and learn about "true history, sound money, personal freedom and responsibility, entrepreneurship, individual rights and more."

Dubbed one of Utah's most politically influential people by the Salt Lake Tribune, Boyack will also discuss how Hawaii can benefit from implementing policies the Libertas Institute has successfully advocated in Utah concerning housing, permitting, licensure, digital currency and other issues.

Keliʻi Akina, president and CEO of the Grassroot Institute of Hawaii, will moderate the event.

Admission is $30, which includes parking, lunch and one of Boyack’s “Tuttle Twins” books. Doors will open at 11:30 a.m., with the formal presentation taking place from noon to 1 p.m., including time for audience members to ask questions.

The Tuttle Twins time-travel with Grandma Gabby to learn about famous advocates of liberty so they can apply that knowledge to current problems.

Boyack has written more than two dozen "Tuttle Twins" books and is a creative force behind the complementary “Tuttle Twins” cartoon series, now in its second season.

Titles of his books aimed at children ages 5 through 11 include “The Tuttle Twins and the Food Truck Fiasco,” “The Tuttle Twins Learn About The Law” and "The Tuttle Twins and the Miraculous Pencil." Books for older children include “The Tuttle Twins and the Hyperinflation Devastation” and “The Tuttle Twins Guide to Logical Fallacies.”

Collectively, Boyack’s “Tuttle Twins” books have sold more than 4 million copies. He also has written other books on a wide range of topics.
