FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Kona Tea Party will be hosting a forum on Saturday, March 19, 2011 featuring Nacia Blom of The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii who will provide a review of the 2011 legislative session thus far revealing time wasted on taxing, spending, regulating, and banning in the absence of any substantial cuts.
The first 50 attendees will receive a free copy of the “2010 Hawaii Pork Report: The Book Hawaii’s Government Doesn’t Want You to Read.”
The Grassroot Institute is responsible for projects such as HawaiiVotes.org and HawaiiSunshine.org. It publishes the Hawaii Pork Report and Hawaii Legislative Report Card.
The Grassroot Institute is Hawaii’s only free-market think tank. GRIH takes no government funding and relies on the contributions of hundreds of individuals, small businesses and private foundations. Its mission is to promote individual liberty, the free market and limited accountable government with the goal of achieving a more free and prosperous Hawaii.
In addition to the legislative review by Blom, the award winning (Best of Festival SAICFF) must see movie, "Agenda-Grinding America Down" will be shown. This full length film documents the people and groups that have successfully targeted America’s morality and freedom in their efforts to compromise the Constitution and principles that make America great.
The meeting is on Saturday, March 19th at 1:00 PM at the Kona Vistas Pavilion.
Directions from the Chevron corner of Kuakini Highway and Lako Street: go mauka one block to Pualani Street. Turn right and go 40 feet to the entrance of the parking lot.
