Honolulu Crime Stoppers is looking for 21-time loser Walter Rodenhurst.
We found him!
Rodenhurst was just elected as the 2nd Vice President of the Association of Hawaiian Civic Clubs. He can probably be arrested at the next Board meeting. Here is their calendar.
That’s Rodenhurst at the 2023-24 AHCC Board inauguration, second from left.
Rodenhurst was sentenced to ten years prison for stealing money from the Office of Hawaiian Affairs in the early 2000s while his late wife, Rona, worked in OHA’s Education Division.
According to Crime Stoppers:
Walter Rodenhurst, 73, is wanted for a $20,000 Warrant of arrest for first degree theft and writing a bad check, for a 2021 incident.
On January 28, 2021, a man entered a downtown bank and presented a check for $25,000 to the teller to be deposited into his business account. It was later discovered that the male had insufficient funds in his account. The bank contacted the male to rectify the situation but the male has since stopped communicating with the bank.
Rodenhurst is described as 5'5, 203 lbs, with brown hair and brown eyes.
Rodenhurst is charged with Felony Theft 1 exceeding $20,000 in 1CPC-23-0000291 - State v. Walter V Rodenhurst III. Filed 10-MAR-2023.
