Aloha Dear Friends of West Maui.

HB1255 and SB1476 in support of $20 million Special Purpose Revenue Bond (SPRB) for West Maui Hospital 

They say that “timing is everything.”  Have you experienced that contacting your government officials at the right time is a truly difference maker?  Please consider that the time is NOW!

Please contact State legislators in support of our State 20 million special purpose revenue bond. (HB1255 AND SB1476)

We are not sure who will be on the conference committee at the state legislature, but we urge you to support and send this message to all of our Maui delegation.

PLEASE ADOPT HB1255 and SB1476 in support of 20 million SPRB for West Maui Hospital. 

There seems to be an absence of published stories of the tragic outcomes that could have been avoided had there been access to a 24/7 emergency room staffed with a qualified physician in West Maui. Sadly, these tragedies have occurred and continue to occur. Grieving families are simply too overwhelmed and emotionally broken to publish the details.

We have been advised by West Maui Hospital Foundation, (WMHF), Board member JoAnne Johnson-Winer; that Troy Hashimoto, Gil Agaran and Kyle Yamashita have expressed concerns to others, so she asked us to make certain that you advise them that Mayor Bissen is 100% behind the West Maui Hospital project and the WMHF answered all of his concerns.  She also indicated that the Maui County Council is also on board. 

Please share this request to your friends via blast email and social media to contact the previously mentioned state legislators who may be on the fence on the need to adopt the SPRB for the West Maui Hospital.  We all would truly appreciate it.
