Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R-MN) is the first Republican woman to be elected to the U.S. House of Representatives from Minnesota. She has consistently won her seat with large margins in a "blue" state. Congresswoman Bachmann was instrumental in the historic reading of the Constitution at the opening of the 2011 session. She also organizes regular Constitutional training session for members of the U.S.House.
Prior to serving in the U.S. Congress, Rep. Bachmann served in the Minnesota State Senate, where she championed the Taxpayer's Bill of Rights. Congresswoman Bachmann has been seen frequently on the national news lately. Her response to the President's State of the Union address garnered National media attention as well as praise for being a principled reformer.
