Marumoto submits bills to the Women’s Caucus Legislative Package

Honolulu – Representative Barbara Marumoto is attending the Women In Government State Directors & New Legislators conference in Southern California.  She submitted the following bills for inclusion in the Women’s Caucus Legislative Package.

1.            Resolution requesting that Hawaii recognize the debilitating effects of Lupus during month of May

2.            Establishing a Lupus Task Force in the Department of Health

3.            Remove the statute of limitation for rape cases

4.            Impound vehicles of those involved in prostitution

5.            Require collection of DNA swabs from arrestees of violent crimes

6.            Require collection of DNA swabs from arrestees of sexual offenses against minors. 

7.            Resolution requesting certain DCCA boards & programs to develop & display educational pamphlets informing patients about ethical standards relating to sexual boundaries in the provider-patient relationship.
