District by District analysis of the 2010 Gubernatorial Election results shows that the Republican candidate won outright in only one House District HD40 Kapolei. Aiona effectively tied Abercrombie, losing by only a handful of votes each in HD 46 Schofield-N Shore and HD43 Ewa Beach. These totals are provisional and may be altered by the inclusion of overseas ballots in the final voting result.
For the most part, the districts which delivered the smallest margin of victory to Lingle in her 2006 sweep of every house district in the state delivered the smallest percentages to Aiona in 2010. Abercrombie thus joins the long list of Democrat governors who have been unable to achieve the statewide unity about which they speak so volubly. (LINK: 2006 Election Results by House District)
