Aloha,
I would like to extend my deepest thanks and appreciation for your support over the course of this campaign and throughout the years. We began this grassroots effort with a simple vision of doing what's best for the people of Hawai‘i. We ran an honest campaign. We ran a good campaign.
Through it all, we formed a bond framed by our core principles of balance, integrity and fiscal responsibility. I believe firmly in these principles and continue to believe they are a necessary part of ensuring a brighter, more prosperous future for all of Hawai‘i.
Down the stretch, we showed our heart, we showed our character, and we showed our aloha spirit.
Unfortunately, in the end, we came up short, unable to combat the late swell of negative advertising from special interests and outside influences.
I congratulate our opponent on his victory, and will join all of you in supporting our next Governor by working to hold our government accountable to our citizens.
Mahalo, again, for your continued engagement and involvement in moving Hawai‘i forward.
Aloha ke Akua,
Duke Aiona

Aloha,
Words cannot express my sincere gratitude to all of you. We have been together for over a year now - fighting to restore fiscal responsibility and accountability to government, and ultimately fighting for a two-party democracy in the State of Hawaii. Unfortunately, we fell short yesterday and the responsibility for that is entirely mine.
You have been the best supporters and friends a man could ever ask for. And, I am continually humbled by your faith and confidence in me. It has been a true honor to serve you as your Congressman, and I look forward to serving you in some other capacity in the future. If there is anything I can ever help you with, please feel free to contact me.
God bless you, God bless the State of Hawaii and may God bless the United States of America.
