Be sure to read the Sunday newspaper tomorrow. You are not going to want to miss the ad we placed in Sunday papers statewide. Just in case you can't wait until the morning, click here to get an exclusive preview.
Just because Neil Abercrombie has had an extreme makeover on the outside, it does not mean his radical ideas and values have cleaned up. In fact, on the inside, he is just as extreme as he was in the 1970s.
As the ad shows, many Democrats have not forgotten who the real Neil Abercrombie is. We must remind the voters of Hawaii that they will be getting more than they bargained for if Abercrombie is elected governor. This is our last chance. We can't let Neil Abercrombie fool the voters of Hawaii.

Text of Ad:
The Democratic candidate for governor was always a loud-mouthed hippie who had all the answers. I didn't forget.
He called soldiers of my generation murderers and baby-killers. I didn't forget.
He turned his back on Hawaii and the Democratic Party by shirking his responsibilities in Congress and giving up 20 years of seniority. I didn't forget.
He took money from our kids' education for a special election (won by a Republican). I didn't forget.
He hired mainland consultants and image-makers, who changed his way of communicating, dressing and grooming to fool us into forgetting his real persona. I didn't forget.
He did not even have enough energy to walk a short, downhill parade route on the Fourth of July, and yet promises to work tirelessly to make this a better state. I didn't forget.
His supporters included the old-regime politicians ... yet he accused his opponent of being part of the "old power brokers" and claimed to be the face of change, a new Hawaii. I didn't forget.
He supports gambling and other vices. I didn't forget.
This is one Democrat who is voting Republican this year. At least their candidate is not a total fake! I didn't forget, did you?
Bob Rosehill, Hilo
