Duke and Aiona Family Vote Early

HONOLULU - Duke Aiona today issued the following statement after he joined Mrs. Vivian Aiona and Makana Aiona to vote early at Honolulu Hale.

"I encourage all of our registered voters to vote early. It's an easy way to make sure your voice is heard.

"We're going after every vote in every community on every island because so much is at stake in this election.

"My opponent is not being straight with the people of Hawai‘i. He will cut programs or raise taxes to pay for the promises he's making.

"Nothing in his plan would immediately create private sector jobs. Government doesn't create the types of jobs that fuel our economy over the long term, but as Governor, I'll make it easier for our small businesses that do create jobs."
