Honolulu, HI - With just 10 days to go until the General Election, the fundraising momentum has shifted decisively to Charles Djou. Djou for Hawaii has outraised Hanabusa by $167,000 in the last six weeks and more than doubled her contributions in the last two weeks alone.
"This close to the General Election, we are exactly where we want to be," Djou spokesman Daniel Son said. "We are humbled by the outpouring of support in the recent weeks and look forward to continuing to take our message of fiscal responsibility and government accountability to every voter in Hawaii’s First Congressional District."
In the pre-general reports filed yesterday, Djou reported $226,000 to Hanabusa’s $112,000 in the first two weeks of October. Djou outraised her by more than $50,000 in September.
Son continued, "The establishment is circling the wagons around Hanabusa in a desperate attempt to maintain the status quo. But people are not satisfied with Congress. People do not want more of the same. We can do better. And our message of change is resonating throughout our district. Our campaign is firing on all cylinders."
