Honolulu, HI - Djou for Hawaii campaign spokesman, Daniel Son, issued the following statement after the shadow group called "Working Families for Hawaii" launched a false ad campaign against Charles Djou:

"As if the lies from mainland special interests weren't enough, the local establishment has launched a smear campaign of its own. The group, called 'Working Family for Hawaii,' is really the Hawaii Government Employees Union, which is apparently too ashamed of its false ads to run them under its own name.

"Charles represents change. Charles will bring a better way of doing things to Washington. The establishment and special interests are afraid of change. And by the end of this election, mainland and local special interest will have spent more than $1 million lying about Charles’ record.

"The voters of Hawaii's First Congressional District will not be fooled. The voters know that Charles has spent his career fighting for Hawaii and that he is the most independent member of Hawaii's Congressional delegation. Hawaii is ready to elect a leader."
