HONOLULU – Duke Aiona and Lynn Finnegan today announced that Vili the Warrior and Sports Hawai‘i have endorsed their campaign for Governor and Lt. Governor of Hawai‘i. The endorsement was announced before the University of Hawai‘i Warriors football game against the University of Nevada.

Vili the Warrior, also known as Vili Fehoko, is a beloved figure in Hawai‘i who once a month donates to his favorite charities. These include Special Olympics, the March of Dimes, Cerebral Palsy, Salvation Army, Big Brothers Big Sisters and student-athlete programs throughout Hawai‘i.

"Duke has the leadership, integrity and experience to build a brighter future for all Hawai‘i, said Vili. "I put my full support behind his campaign."

“We are honored to have the support of Vili the Warrior, who has touched countless lives through his passion for Hawai‘i, athletics and helping others," said Duke Aiona. "Sports Hawai‘i has helped to promote Hawai‘i sports and sporting events, and we appreciate their support. As Governor, I will pursue new opportunities to make Hawai`i a worldwide leader in sports destinations."

Vili the Warrior Inc. has grown tremendously over the last 10 years. The company has partnered with various organizations, including the National Football League, Cirque Polynesia, Hawai‘i Goodwill Ambassadors Association, the University of Hawai‘i Football Department and many Hawai‘i schools.
