Honolulu, HI - Trust in Small Business, a non-partisan member organization, has endorsed Charles Djou for Congress (HI-1).
"Jobs and the economy are unquestionably the two most important issues in the elections this November," said Ed Pinto, Chairman and CEO of Trust in Small Business PAC.
"Small business is the key to jump starting the economy and creating new jobs America so desperately needs," Pinto continued. "Congressman Djou understands this. Djou stands up for small business."
"Small business represents half of our national economy and generates two thirds of all new jobs but until now has been sorely underrepresented in Congress," stated Barry Campbell, TISB Board Member and Chairman of the Candidate Selection Committee. Campbell added, "Voters trust small business more than any other group. Small business owners and their employees need to know which candidates to support."
Upon receiving the endorsement, Congressman Djou said. "I am honored to have the support of Trust in Small Business. Small businesses are on the front lines of our economy. When government makes it hard for small businesses to succeed, the economy suffers and the unemployment rate rises.
"When we encourage entrepreneurship and help small businesses flourish, we chart a path toward a prosperous future for everyone," Djou concluded.
To receive TISB’s endorsement, candidates must demonstrate both their support for the interests of the tens of millions of small business owners across the country and their belief that the free enterprise system is the best way to grow the American economy. Congressman Djou has received the endorsement and an “A” rating from TISB.
