Hilo, Hawai`i -- “No anti-Semitism here” insist OHA's admittedly pro-Palestinian protesters January 3 lining Kanoelehua St. Protesters backed by the taxpayer-funded State Office of Hawaiian Affairs demand the State of Hawaii drop its US Supreme Court appeal of the Hawaii Supreme Court’s decision blocking sale and transfer of ceded lands until a settlement is reached with a future Akaka Tribe. But for some reason they displayed the Star of David along with the slogan "Thou Shall not Steal."
What does ceded lands have to do with Palestine? Hawaii Governor Linda Lingle is Jewish. And the protesters-backed by the taxpayer-funded Office of Hawaiian Affairs continue a long tradition of open anti-Semitism by Dan Akaka's Hawaii Democrats and his secessionist minions.
In early 2008, protesters denouncing a proposed ceded lands revenue settlement rambled incoherently about the “Prophesy of the Jewish Queen”.
In 2004 OHA paid for a multi-island speaking tour by two-time convicted felon Bumpy Kanahele (pardoned by Cayetano) and University of Illinois Law Prof Frances Boyle who urged OHA’s sovereignty activists to emulate the PLO. When not working to break Hawaii off of the United States, Boyle is paid by the PLO and by the Chechen rebels to represent their interests in matters of international law.
In 2003 at the University of Hawaii-Hilo, the Global Hope Club once posted a web link claiming that “What Really Happened” on 9-11 was the Israelis did it.
In 1998 when Lingle threatened to unseat then-Governor Ben Cayetano, Democrats told state workers that Lingle would cancel their Christmas holiday if elected.
Nope. No anti-Semitism here….
