Big Win for Mafia: Biden Appoints AG Connors US Attorney
By News Release @ 4:09 PM :: 4978 Views :: Ethics, Congressional Delegation, Law Enforcement

EDITOR'S NOTE: Biden’s appointment of Hawaii Attorney General Claire Connors as US Attorney for the District of Hawaii is a big win for organized crime and crooked politicians.

As AG, Connors did zero for the manifold corruption and mafia cases rocking Hawaii’s political establishment.  Instead she spent all her time sending out news releases about multi-state anti-Trump lawsuits her office signed on to.

Her ability to do nothing about the mafia and political corruption in Hawaii is precisely why Mazie Hirono and Brian Schatz both urged the Biden administration to appoint her US Attorney.

Background: Why is the Hawaii Attorney General too busy to prosecute charter school corruption?

Schatz, Hirono Joint Statement On President Biden Nomination Of Clare Connors For U.S. Attorney

News Release Sept 28, 2021

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senators Brian Schatz (D-Hawai‘i) and Mazie K. Hirono (D-Hawai‘i) today released the following statement on President Joe Biden’s nomination of Hawai‘i Attorney General Clare Connors to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Hawai‘i. The nomination follows Schatz and Hirono’s recommendation of Connors for the position.

“Clare Connors is an excellent choice to serve as U.S. Attorney for the District of Hawai‘i. Clare’s broad experience, including as Hawai‘i’s current Attorney General, makes her an exceptionally well-qualified nominee to fill this important vacancy. With her strong background in public service and her proven commitment to justice, we are confident she will serve the people of Hawai‘i well. We were proud to recommend her to the President, and we look forward to working with our colleagues to ensure a speedy confirmation process.”

President Biden Announces Nine New Nominees to Serve as U.S. Attorneys

News Release from The White House, September 28, 2021

President Biden is announcing nine new nominees to serve as U.S. Attorneys across the country, officials who will be indispensable to upholding the rule of law as the top federal law enforcement officials for their districts.

These individuals were chosen for their devotion to enforcing the law, their professionalism, their experience and credentials in this field, their dedication to pursuing equal justice for all, and their commitment to the independence of the Department of Justice.

The President has launched a comprehensive effort to take on the uptick in gun crime that has been taking place for the last 18 months—putting more cops on the beat, supporting community prevention programs, and cracking down on illegal gun trafficking. Confirming U.S. Attorneys as the chief federal law enforcement officers in their district is important for these efforts.

The President has now announced 25 nominees to serve as U.S. Attorneys.
