In response to demands from the pro-Abercrombie Hawaii Venture Capital Association that he stop using a similar name for his capitalist splinter group, Larry Harmon, executive director of the pro-Hannemann Venture Capital Association of Hawaii has issued a two word response.
“F*** you.”
The signed reply, neatly typed up on official stationary seems to be modeled on the infamous “F*** you” letters sent out by then-State-Rep Neil Abercrombie to various and sundry political opponents when he represented the teenage Barack Obama’s home district—Makiki--in the late 1970s. An embedded link in the letter's operative clause leads to a pdf image of one of Abercrombie's letters.
Other embedded links lead to information about contributions to the Abercrombie campaign given by HVCA and by members of the Bendet Fidell Law Firm. At the bottom of the letter, embedded links lead to "History of the VCAH", the incorporation documents of the HVCA, and HVCA bylaws prohibiting the organization from endorsing candidates.
We would like to pause here for a moment to reflect on our good fortune at being ruled by such enlightened, conscious and progressive people. Certainly this kind of advanced thinking justifies renewal of the $700M+ Act215/Act221 high tech tax credit giveaways.
