Hawai‘i COVID-19 Cases
News Release from Hawaii DoH, September 13, 2020
On 9/13/2020, the Hawai‘i Department of Health reported 114 new positive cases. There are 2 new cases are on Maui, 16 on Hawai‘i Island and 96 on O‘ahu for a cumulative total of 10,700 cases statewide (reported since 2/28/2020). Two previous cases were removed due to updated laboratory information.
A total of 259,531 individuals have been tested in the state. (4,132 new tests)

SA: On Sunday, Hawaii’s effective reproduction rate for the virus had dropped to 0.85, meaning people who test positive for coronavirus in the state will infect an average of 0.85 other people. A rate above 1 means the virus will spread quickly. A rate below 1 means the virus will eventually stop spreading.
