A Gallup Poll released today shows that self-identified conservatives outnumber liberals in 49 of the 50 states.  Liberals outnumber conservatives only in Rhode Island and Washington DC. 

While Hawaii is seventh in a Gallup's list of top liberal states, Aloha State conservatives still have a 7% edge—28% to 21%--over liberals.

Hawaii’s 47% of self-identified moderates tops the nation. 

Many of the top conservative states are in the Plains, Mountain states, Midwest, and South.  Top liberal states are concentrated in the Northeast and West Coast.
